Tatiana Gerhardt, Student Intern Mental Health Counselor

I’m a Brazilian Mental Health Counseling intern at Lucid Counseling Center and a current Master’s student in Mental Health Counseling at South Florida Bible College, where I also earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Additionally, I hold a degree in Business Administration, which uniquely positions me to support clients navigating career development, life transitions, workplace stress, and personal growth challenges.

My therapeutic approach is compassionate, integrative, and faith-informed, rooted in evidence-based practices. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness-Based Techniques, and Gestalt Therapy to help clients cultivate resilience, develop insight, and achieve emotional balance. I believe in meeting clients where they are and tailoring interventions to their unique needs, values, and goals.

Fluent in English and Portuguese, and conversational in Spanish, I am committed to serving the diverse communities with cultural sensitivity, empathy, and respect. My multilingual abilities allow me to provide accessible and culturally responsive care to individuals from various backgrounds.
Beyond my graduate training, I actively pursue professional development through specialized certifications in counseling, ensuring that I remain current with best practices and evidence-based interventions. This ongoing commitment to learning strengthens my clinical skills and enhances my ability to meet the evolving needs of my clients.

My ultimate goal is to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapeutic space where individuals can explore their faith, process past challenges, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and hope. I am passionate about supporting clients in their journey toward healing, self-discovery, and meaningful change.
