Paula Zubieta, Student Intern Mental Health Counselor
I am a dedicated and compassionate bilingual intern (English and Spanish) pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. I develop and implement treatment plans for clients (individuals, couples, groups) dealing with challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and career/life transition, among others. I facilitate psychoeducational workshops on Priority Management, Parenting Skills, and Spiritual Growth.
With a strong academic background and hands-on experience, I am committed to helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys. I bring a unique blend of empathy, professionalism, and understanding of therapeutic techniques to my role as an intern, conducting sessions under the supervision of licensed therapists.
I perform intake assessments and maintain accurate client records following the ethical guidelines of the ACA and the AACC. I participate in weekly supervision meetings and case consultations. I am eager to continue developing my skills as a Mental Health Counselor and I am committed to positively impacting my clients’ lives.
